>>Andy: You've been following the Y2K problem more than I. The companies involved seem to be at Y2.1K prices. Do you see any that you think are bargains?<<

Sure do. TPRO, which I mentioned yesterday on the thread. They work with "embedded chips, what the release and PB referred to an non-information systems. Check out post 7560 on the main TPRO thread, which reprints yesterday's release. They just signed a very large contract with BMY which should be worth about 36MM to the company over the next 2 years according to estimates on the thread. There are hundreds of other large companies which will need similar work SOON and TPRO has little competition with the embedded chip YK2 problem. Stock is not marginable but has applied and should be in the next month or so. They should begin to be profitable this Q. I suggest you read the research thread and then the posts on the main after yesterday's release.

But first read reply #6075 from Skipard. When I first read this, I was naturally very skeptical. However, after the BMY contract I am taking it very seriously. The Y2K problem is going to explode into the public's consciousness and, I believe, cause a worldwide recession/depression in which one would be wise to be out of the markets entirely if not short. Before that happens, if it does, TPRO should make a lot of money.

Only thing is, if you buy TPRO and make money, I want a finder's fee--another bottle of wine. (:>)
