How would you even do that? I mean, if everyone agreed, starting today, you can't have a gun, are you going to do like Australia and say, "Okay, you can't have guns anymore. Bring them in and we'll crush them?"

Everyone I know has guns. I don't know one person who would comply with that. More importantly, there isn't one criminal in the country who would. And that is after you got past the constitutional considerations.

This is a liberal pipe dream, nothing more.

And it isn't like it would have a material effect on murders. Certainly not when offset by the lives saved by people having guns.

I agree. Eventually, sometime AFTER the Obama administration, the government is going to go house to house and confiscate all the guns. New tech that locates big chunks of metal will help them.
