Because he understood that in almost all cases one can refer back to free market principles and come to the right conclusions. Sounds like a boy crush. Personally, I think we'd be in a depression, still, if he was in charge in '09. Bernanke, a Republican, and Obama, a Democrat, pulled us out. The adults in the room, not the ideologists.
