The following news should start to turn us around. Flagstaff is a new hospital contract. I am not sure but I will find out if this service will cover the Grand Canyon National Park.

DENVER, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq: AIRM - news) today announced the signing of a contract to provide helicopter medical transportation services for Flagstaff Medical Center's 'Guardian Air' program headquartered in Flagstaff, Arizona. This three year contract provides for Air Methods to begin services with a Bell 206L-3 in February, 1998 until such time as that aircraft is replaced with a Bell 407. It also makes provision for an additional helicopter when needed. The assigned helicopter(s) will meet the significant emergency transportation needs of central and northern Arizona.

Air Methods' Vice President, Air Medical Services Division, Maurice L. Martin, Jr. noted, ''We are extremely pleased to be adding another Bell 407 to what is already the largest fleet of emergency medical Bell 407's in the United States.''

With the addition of this contract, Air Methods will be operating a total of 34 helicopters and airplanes in 16 states under 21 long-term operating agreements. Air Methods' wholly owned subsidiary, Mercy Air Service, Inc., operates an additional 7 helicopters.

Based in metropolitan Denver, Air Methods is an exclusive provider of state-of-the-art emergency medical transportation systems and services throughout the United States. Air Methods also manufactures medical interiors for civilian, military and international organizations.
