But that isn't Greece's sole problem. While it may have contributed to their debt problem, it is far from the sole cause. Add in the fact it doesn't have a sovereign currency and there they are.

The US doesn't have a debt to GDP ratio nearly as high as Greece. It does have a sovereign currency. Not only that, it is the choice reserve currency on the globe.

So no, the US is not on the road to a Greece style melt-down.
