SyJet 2.5?

In the email response I received from Syquest regarding a SCSI SparQ, they included these words:

In the near future, they (Mac Users) report they would like to see a next generation SyJet product which offers higher capacity, improved performance and downward compatibility with SyJet 1.5 GB cartridges. We plan to announce and ship this next generation of SyJet next year.

So, in addtion to the top-of-the-line 4.7 Gig Quest (Rocket), which is already reported to be a better value than Jaz2, Syquest has plans for a direct competitor in SyJet II. My best guess is that it will be 2.5 Gigs to best Jaz2's 2 Gigs. Also note that SyJet II WILL be compatible with SyJet 1.5 carts.

I think SyQuest will survive. It's just that SYQT stock will sit where it is for a long time while as the dilution continues.
