I don't know about that.

I did know someone who had an abortion at that age, more than 40 years ago, and she is still totally screwed up about it and has never been able to come to terms with it. I know others who had no trouble with it; but it *CAN* be a really traumatic experience for someone at that age.

(To be fair, I new a girl who got pregnant in high school at 17; she had the baby but her parents "arranged" an adoption and *SHE* is still screwed up about that, too; so there probably isn't a perfect solution other than birth control).
