Hi Ray--good to hear from you and my apologies for not getting back with you earlier

>>Tom, I used to live in LA and know it well<<

Well, well---so you are familiar with the pluses and minuses of living in the City of Angels. I have lived here for about 5 years and love it. The multi-ethnic vibrancy of LA appealed to me from the time I first came here on business in 1979. The weather is the other big plus though el nino has wrought havoc with the weather patterns. Last week an oak tree in my yard was brought down by the winds.

I love San Diego as well and spent time last year checking it out with a view to relocating there --after all, it is hardly a factor where I live given that I can trade from anywhere. I have lived out East as well -- in the Washington DC area-- and loved it there as well. I guess that I must have a low threshold for satisfaction:)

>>oh incidently I am English-

Now, how about that!! I would not have guessed it -- but don't ask me what I mean by that. Where in England did you live?? And where do you live now??

>>it is not clear if you are from what you said but, Lisa seems to think so<<

I know that she does and I have been telling lisa not to make assumptions about me -- at one time she viewed me as being uptight and upright but now that she feels that she has got one of my passwords, she has modified her opinion somewhat:)

My antecedents are rather complicated -- lived on four continents through my life--and am much the richer for the experience. I have spent the most years in the US. When I go to England, I am told that I have an American accent and over here I am told that I have an English accent--don't know whether you have that problem.

>>and lastly, my portfolio is NOT in the shape it was in July/August either. <VBG><<

Well, we certainly have that in common:)

Regards
