That wouldn't fly very far. Those policies were pretty much the rule in the decades prior to the Great Depression. And the Great Depression was just the last in a string of booms and busts. Even so, we started deregulating and slashing taxes in the 1980s and that led directly to the bust of 2008.

Like many things, they may claim that, but the facts show otherwise.
