Any comments on the 3 ppm lead content or the California warning label?

I think the warning is California nonsense. I take two a day. Nobody knows the "right" amount. The Japanese consume tons more than we do with no problem.

My TSH has averaged 1.36 (range 1.12-1.724) over the past 15 years so I'm not sure I need to supplement iodine

The original reason for supplementing with iodine was goiter. That's why it is in ordinary supermarket salt. Folks who are using chichi salt rather than the supplemented stuff probably would need to supplement some other way. On and off I eat a lot of seaweed. When I'm not doing that I take kelp pills.
