Your claim is that things were a disaster in France. While 0.6% growth is not huge, it is far from a disaster. A disaster is more like a 5% contraction, which has happened once in the past 65 years. - comb jelly
France is a classic example of a Socialist disaster. They have chronic problems from an ossified private sector, stagnant wage and GDP growth, a population that barely works, and an unsustainable welfare program. Their GDP growth rates prove that Socialism leads directly to economic underperformance. The US GDP growth rates are much higher of the same period, even though our economy is much larger. How did we do that? We're far less Socialistic that France. So instead of keeping the good that we have, we've decided we want to be more like France. However, the American Socialists have won, so now we can expect to get what they want, which is France-like economic growth in the future. We've managed to prop up our economy over the last few years with massive stimulus, but that only works for a short period of time. Congrats to all you Socialists!
