Actually, the republicans don't believe in any of those things (except possibly for themselves)

They don't believe in social security for everyone (but it's ok for them- and the wingnut congresscritters sure as hell want on the federal titty)

They don't believe in work for the unemployed- at least not work the government helps them get. People should, of course, be working harder, but they should pull themselves up by their bootstraps- and, magically, this can all happen if you just let people fall as far as they can, as often as they might. Wouldn't it be awesome, for example, to have a model like Calcutta- where you simply let people live off garbage dumps when they can't find a job?

They don't believe in saving homes. Many of them will tell you home ownership is over rated (except for themselves, of course) and people don't need to own homes.

Oddly, the old republicans seem to be some of the biggest takers out there. They wallow in government provided medical care. They take those government checks for just...breathing. They'll tell you they paid for their social security and medicare- on the former they're correct, on the latter they are totally wrong (statistically speaking):

So next time some old cranky wingnut tells you they hate takers, post the above to them and tell them to go find a mirror.
