I'm NOT an American it's Forest Fires where I come from... Claude Resources (CRJ-T) is suspending mining operations at its Seabee gold mine in Northern Saskatchewan because of a nearby "Forest Fires". A Canadian Press dispatch to the Post reports that the company is taking steps to remove non-essential personnel as a forest fire about eight kilometres south of the mine threatens to bring heavy smoke and ash. The company says mill production has so far not been affected thanks to stockpiled ore at the site. Cameco and Areva Resources Canada confirmed last week that they had suspended uranium shipments from their Northern Saskatchewan operations because of Forest Fires. Both companies said mining operations were not affected.
