Thanks Rod: Agree totally. Don't have time to elaborate, but I can only say that IMHO Microsoft is one of the best shorts in the investing world right now. The world is finally discovering the crap this "golden goose" has laid for the past several years as it has taken advantage of its platform position in a world that just didn't have other choices out there. Cheap and declining prices on hard storage forstalled the decline of RAM cost which only protected their monopoly. Asian devaluations will put an end to that real fast. Last week's rally in semiconductors is only the tip of the iceberg.

The age of Global Network Computing has finally dawned. Gate's can't stop nor control the explosive power of bandwidth. It will destroy his fat-client strategy. Merry Christmas everyone!!

<There is an alternative and in 1988 you will see Java move into mainstream business, especially since the latest version is close in performance to more traditional development environments>

Which latest version are you refering to, that is close in performance?

If you say their architecture is so badly designed, what do you have to say about the rest, such as corel, lotus and etc. or os/2 or dr.dos
