......remember that fund managers bonuses are tied to good yearly performance prior to 1/1/98. therefore, they sell their spectacular winners to lock in their gains.

.........they will come rushiing back in when this sector is one of the few with consistent earnings. i have not heard that day rates are falling or exploration is down, have you? :-)

Ted, I am also baffled by the drastic upward movement of AIPN in Sept and Oct, but could you explain why you think this stock is super-hyped? I also smelled something fishy going on but couldn't pinpoint. Thanks

P.S. I recently got a broker on the phone urging me to take a position in that stock but also telling not to get in when it goes over $4 1/2.
