For sure once upon a time I was "that guy" who had to have all the latest and greatest stuff. For better or worse, lots of the cool new stuff was from Microsoft (as they devoted their time to PC software, not XBox gaming). Microsoft flew me to Redmond, gave me a tour, lots of free stuff, and I developed a program (an "app" in today's parlance) to showcase their Infopath product at the roll-out of XP. No meet and greet with Bill, but it was still fun times.

So, yes, by nature I really really want to have Windows 10 to mess around with, but I no longer do any serious programming, and these days one has so many devices and programs installed that it seems to be the exception if I don't get a crash after a new Microsoft OS. Hence, though I'd rather do otherwise, I force myself to wait. And that's why I recommend most people to do the same.
