Actually, WIND did not mean to imply they were buying back large blocks of stock. The announced buyback is mean't to counter the dillution of stock options, and is in keeping with their standard practice. However, I suspect that the company cannot be happy whenever the stock price falls below basic support levels, and probably eyes the stock as a good company investment during such trying times.

As I recall the Reg S went off with the price around $38/share, with a convertible price around $48. I haven't run the numbers, but I would think any buyback under $40 or so might make economic sense today. Also, the inside view of the company's potential could be significantly greater today than it was when the Reg S was put together last summer.
