Booming here in Austin, too. Employers are having a tough time filling positions, and salaries are going UP. Entry level at a local BBQ joint pays $11.00 an hour. My employer gives me whatever I ask for. Yeah, Austin has been booming for a while but in the last year, a lot of metros have joined Austin. Six months ago, I started see signs looking for job applicants going up on the doors of businesses here........always a sign that the labor market is getting very tight. The economy is strong and getting stronger.
