John and All: I'm afraid that you are on the right track. On Friday, Semi Biz News reported that Samsung has decided to delay expansion of its Austin fab, which would've increased production from 12,000 to 25,000 wafers per month. Samsung would like to see the Korean Won appreciate before spending more US dollars. And Hyundai has decided to defer further construction on its new $3 billion fab in Scotland. They had already spent $1.5 billion in phase I and were about to place orders for production tools. These items were released early Friday morning so I am very pleased by the stock's reaction (or lack of reaction)to them. Chalks
