Because it was interpreted correctly as an estimate. Any subsequent discussion was purely speculative not a misinterpretation of the price estimate. Everyone who can read and understand the English language should understand that and if others attached a greater meaning to it, that is on them and anyone who listens. I always understood the NPV's and IRR's posted were possibilities only. They were stated as such and I looked at them that way. I prefer to wait for company statements on such things or solid evidence. It is notable though that no official statement from the company or third party has thrown that estimate out. It still holds based on the PEA Technical. 7500 is ROUGHLY close to 8500. Refining an estimate is normal. Until its not an estimate.

I have always been of the belief that the pricing will be firm when someone makes an offer, if they do. To be fair, those posters you refer to have said similar things.Did I hope they are correct, of course. Did I throw out my Meriam Webster, no.

Its an estimate, I know what the word means, so should others,

"roughly calculate or judge the value, number, quantity, or extent of."
