Do not forget that all logic is temporarily suspended in Avant!World, the "E" ticket ride that lasted 2 years. A long strange trip its been. Nevertheless, time is running out while the courts make sure they get it right. Judge Whyte and the civil legal process is not equipped to deal with the world of software and the short cycles of product revs. This was not the best decision for Cadence, but the outcome of the decision is still very, very serious for Avant!. A gift horse for people looking for another chance to short.

Pancho, Its probably a ploy by the judge to put the ultimate demise of AVNT off until the new year, with holidays and employees he doesn't want to be the grinch. He will not allow any further evidence from AVNT and has turned the source code of their products over to CDN to confirm what has already been evidenced in court. Judge Whyte is probably short the stock and wants the gains held off til next year. I'm for that also. This is transition time for AVNT employees to find another job with a company thats going to be around for awhile.The court hasn't looked at damages due CDN yet. Its clear that AVNT built their business on CDN software so the entire worth of the company is at stake. The stock reacted in typical fashion after the news on Friday just like many of the all time best shorts in history. Coz
