tekgk, "m" means thousands, "mm" or "M" means millions.

144s are filed when a holder of unregistered shares (sometimes called "letter stock") wants the ability to sell, but doesn't necessarily mean he/she is selling (I think you'd also have to file one if you wanted to margin it or write calls against it). Form 4 is filed by those classified as an "insider" after they have actually sold. You can have a 4 without a 144 or a 144 without a 4. In this case, if I recall correctly, AMZN filed a registration statement that covered most or all of the formerly locked up shares, so a 144 would not be necessary.
