Yes, as I said it would be good for more young people to consider such a path.

My point is simply just as college isn't the correct path for everyone, "the trades" aren't either. Some people are not well suited to jobs in such fields, and even if everyone was, if a huge number of people move in to such fields they would compete away some of the advantages (most notably relatively high pay for someone without any college).

Still I agree that ideas that everyone should go to college, or that there is something demeaning or low class about being a plumber, and electrician, etc., are wrong.
