dd, I play around with options every now & then. Most of the time I -sell-, rather than buy them. A more conservative approach to a very fast game. So far it's worked well for me more often than not.

<imho> Don't think SGI's move back to 12+ the last few days was due to options expiration. The amount of PUTs sold Friday may explain the bump -up- however, as sellers covered by buying shares, as I noted with Bill.

Agree SGI might be forming a base here at 12+. It appears the institutions have stepped-up their ante too which is also somewhat bullish at this level. Enough to make me get on the field??? Will consult with -Ringo- on this very topic, among others, later today...

dd: After intense discussions with my fellow camel traders last night, I'm keeping my distance from SGI. At least until the fundamentals turn positive.

Yes, SGI could be forming a base here at @12+. And institutional ownership is up. But the high PUT/CALL ratio scares me -big-. Option traders are buying SGI PUTs 10-to-1 over CALLs. Sizeably negative. Contrarians might jump-in here. I don't have the courage to even *average-in* tho, without news of better fundamentals.

Call me paranoid, but another bad earnings day and SGI's next test is 10. Hey, then we could see some institutional investors being committed to institutions! <imho>

Waiting it out.
