Greetings Jane, << Can you at least break down a little and admit that the Jews were the original Israel >> , Jane, If you would truly read what I have posted in the spirit I have written it, you would clearly see that many times I have stated this truth . It is because of the Jewish nation, and the fullfillment of the promise made to Abraham, that I, a gentile have been grafted in to the cultivated olive tree. Indeed up to the cross, Israel were the chosen people of God. However, after the cross, the True Israel of God is made up of all nations of this world according to Gen.12:1-3. God is no longer concerned that you boast in the fact you have a certain blood in your veins but rather what kind of faith is in your heart. If it is the kind that Abraham had you are part of the Israel of God, made up of all nations ( Jews and Gentiles ). Your statement that I inferred that one should not read the Old Testament is a false statement from you Jane. I spend much time and study in the Old Testament It is with this presumption that you think you see in your brothers and sisters responses, that you base your replies on, rather on the Word of God. This in itself causes much confusion and turmoil. If you will recall, this whole discussion of this past 3 weeks arose out of my reply to Lee Bush, and who is the true "Israel of God." Please read what I say in the context of what it is am attempting to say. Robert
