TT,

<<That is very impressive--what is your friends background in relation to investing. Perhaps you could keep me posted as to when he decides to get back into the market and in what direction.>>

This cyberfriend has no backgrand in investing. started trading in 1996, crediting all his success to IBD and William O'Neil. But he is not a CANSLIMer. Has uncanny read of market, thru watching price/volumes movement, charts, etc. He trades both sides of the market at any given time, from shorting big cap WLA to longing small cap CHKPF. While most people suffer losses in Oct he made 30%. was not impressed by Friday's rally because the down came with very heavy volumes and speed while the up was not. His read is market will stabilize till end of year but a sharp sell-off just beginning of January would not surprise him. Judy knows him too and would remember how he called CSCO's movement last spring, and shorted it all the way to 46. He went 200% long (not just CSCO) at end of April when Naz about to bottom. Oh, in past 2 weeks he has shorted CSCO a few times. I normally passed his view to Judy whenever I got his e-mail. You could have Judy forward to you. Also John Murphy update too.
