Yesterday has traditionally been the busiest shopping day of the year, and from what I saw, I can believe it. Went to 6 stores, AMES, Nordstrom's, Sports Authority, CVS, BJ's, and Borders. They were all very busy, and Nordstrom's was just plain crazy. These stores were in West Hartford, CT, and Southington, CT. According to the following article on CNN news, the next week or two will make or break the retailer's year. Arthur, also note the major mention of internet e-commerce emerging as a future factor.
