[ DSC conference call notes 10/16/98 ] ... 1. (Cowan & Co.) What is driving the access business and what are you seeing from the carriers? JD: Litespan 2000 products are very strong. Selling to 6 of the 7 RBOCS (holdout is the local Texas RBOC to whom he pays the phone bills, working on that). Movement toward ADSL. Development order is in-house with Bell Atlantic for switching digital video, program is underway. Also selling to independents with enhanced LiteSpan. Activity is expanding into access business with MCI etc. 2. (?) When will carriers deploy ADSL? JD: First half of next year...... tiac.net
