<<the Hyundai fab was to be .25>>

Understand, John. But I thought Cymi's business would still be OK without these new fabs.

<< I am not happy to read these developments.>>

Personally, I was expecting this kind of news. I found it not surprising at all.

<<any negativity in the marketplace affects all the companies, including CYMI,>>

True, depending on how people were expecting.

<< I am very happy to see the marketplace respond as it did on Friday. A climactic reversal for the NASDAQ on big volume, at least a temporary bottom and possible successful re test of the October lows. Time will tell but the possibility exists. The ability of a stock, or group, to ignore bad news is an excellent sign of a bottom.>>

Let's see if Nasdaq, and especially semi equip stocks, are to decidedly stay above the pivotal points.

Thanks and Good luck.

Chalks,

It's important to keep these fab push-outs in perspective. If you broke ground on one now, it would not reach full production til after 2000. In the meantime(1 to 1.5 years), fabs that want to upgrade to 0.25 are desperate for DUV steppers(extremely long lead-times on steppers). Between now and 2000, it's hard to predict how the supply/demand situation for semiconductors will play itself out. Will there be a capacity shortage at any point in the next two years? I don't know, but those are the issues I'm focusing on right now.

I agree with Cymeed that some fab push-outs have been discounted into the sector. What's your opinion?

Bob
