Sales taxes are not collected in all states.
In many states the collection of such taxes are "voluntary",
but not yet required. That will change.

Unfortunately, I expect the populace to accept this without
much protest. Perhaps you Wisconsinites have more GUST-O
than most.

Sorry to hear of your bus accident in Guatemala. Hope you
are not suffering from "Kramden-O-Phobia".
