Resetting a hotspot is similar to rebooting a PC. Once in a while the Hotspot gets sluggish and you need to reboot it or reset it (with a pin or clip in the back).
In this instance, I did a reset because one of my smartphones ( the ZTE Zmax) did not connect to the changes I made in the SSIDs and Passwords. I thought a reset would bring my ZTE Zmax back into a Wifi connection. But I only got the Zmax connected after I reset the hotspots because they went back to their default SSIDs and Passwords. That was strange considering my other 6 smartphones took to the changes quite well instantly in regard to the SSIDs and Passwords.
I went online to the administrater hot spot web page and made the changes and they held until I did a reset. I followed the instructions to change the SSID and Password to a tee and it said success. Go figure. That should not happen once a SSID and Password is changed and applied.
