1stSunRay: Actually, Invent Resources is a "virtual Company" probably similar to the type Roger is contemplating. Except of Pavelle (the Pres), no one draws any salaries per se, and even he gets just symbolic pay. Yet we have quite a number of interesting projects going on (and these of course are financed by the various customers that "commisionned" invention. But our real pay is when we sign a licensing agreement. That takes some time, but our pipeline is quite well stocked by now. Our total investments in actual cash must have been less than $20,000. Of course, if we charged for our time, the investment would have been well past a million bucks.

One of the problems with virtual companies, which I hope Roger will address, is the minimal focus that the participants can put into the venture. Everyone needs to eat and send kids to school or college, thus a portion of the participants needs to be addressed to generating day to day cash flow. This is possibly one of the reasons that such virtual entities may take a little longer to erumpent forward.
