Hey, now-- I was 22 in '82 and I was touring Europe with my (then) girlfriend. Obviously I really didn't sell soft drinks on the beach, but I did take the long route through the sunbathers to the bathroom quite frequently (gg). After Nice we went back to her home town in Belgium and then I, she and her parents flew to Athens and then out to the island of Crete (where they slept in a resort and I slept in a disgusting youth hostel because they assumed I would have flown home by then--hah!). Both of us had survived on $5 a day for 2 months (excluding the Eurail pass). Svejk will vouch for me that the only other "legal" way to gaze upon the unclothed body of the opposite sex and not get whacked is if your spouse is a photographer. Thank goodness mine is (gg). - Jeff
