Who's Got Next?
By 2000, many teams plan to move from CD-ROM video storage to DVD technology; a CD-ROM holds just over 70 minutes of information, while a DVD-ROM can hold up to four hours of video. This could open up a whole new range of possibilities, including some advances that could be shared with the fans.
ÿÿÿÿ Dallas is currently planning construction of a new arena for its team-with the proposed inclusion of "smart seats." These seats would be equipped with a DVD player that, based on software similar to Advanced Scout, would allow fans to access any play from the game they're at. But like most new digital toys, these don't come cheap. Don't expect the DVD players to be available in the nose-bleed section-at least, not yet.
