Ben,

I mentioned this before, Market Makers can hypothecate shares to the tune of 140%. (out of thin air). That is why some brokerage houses seem to always have shares available for shorting.

Most short squeezes are caused by the institutions that lent the shares out, recalling them. Although it would be nice to cause a short squeeze by discussing it on SI, I do not think it is going to happen. Even if, $10 million worth of CYMI were controlled by SI members and lurkers out there. Alot of the investors on this thread use margin as part of their investment strategy and do not want to lose that flexibility by demanding physical delivery. Actually the best idea on this thread for causing a short squeeze was someone suggesting that Eric Lindros spend his new signing bonus ($15MM) on CYMI stock. That is the kind of money that is going to take to cause a squeeze in CYMI.

In reality, the best idea for a short squeeze is for Curly or yourself (or anyone on this thread) to use their incredible enthusiasm for CYMI and call every mutual fund that will listen to them. Convince them to buy $1MM worth of CYMI each. CYMI probably does not even show up on some of their radar screens. (Really CYMI IR should be doing this but, they do not seem to know what they are doing)

Besides Why do you want a squeeze? Are you a daytrader or a long term investor? Long term investor would prefer that the stock stays on sale for awhile so that they can load up on it over time. If you want a quick killing and then pay some short term capital gains (automatic 38% loss), bring on the short squeeze.
