No; don't cherry pick; read the entire sentence, especially They didn't specify I was to gift them with solar panels. "Gift them" is too big a cherry for you to leave hanging on the tree.

Refuse giving them solar as a gift? Of course. Why would I give a business anything? If they had said they wanted to install solar, I'd have set them up with a local solar contractor.
