msb - I've read that before, but i'm glad you reposted it. Maybe
I should print some things out for rereading. I did enjoy seeing
this again. Thanks. And I like the insert a name here part. (g)

Here's another street poem. With one to follow written by
Stevie Nicks. I really like the one by her. Captures the essense
of the street and the gypsy life in contrast to those we meet
that live more steady (normal ?) lifes. And the sorrow and silence
that endings can bring. I will answer your earlier question as well. I did not mean to avoid, it is simply something I do not ordinarily express in words and find it difficult to do so. For now...
there are the gypsies and the street people. and there are the uncommitted and the wasted. They are not the same the thing.

tonight
there is no shelter
twenty miles an hour from the west
the storm is coming
destiny
blocks into miles
months into years
the street again
and the storm never ends
my coat is thinner
than it was before
the cold wind slivers cut deeper
the years inside have softened me
still the planet turns once more
the edge inside
waiting to strike
thought maybe this time
i'd gone inside for good
but here i am
three a.m.
walking into the wind
alone on the streets
the shadow dancers and me

Street Angel
by Stevie Nicks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been walking under rainbows...too long to tell
You keep walking down mean streets...
my street angel
I try to bring you in...out of the cold
But street angels live on the street...
And they always will

Street angels aren't like anyone you know
They do what they want...and they go where they go
They may tell you
that you hold the world in your hands
But they always give it back...
(They always give it back)

CHORUS:
No amount of crying...changes your mind
No amount of praying...brings you inside
I know that you love me...
and that you always will
You just stand outside and call to me...
My sweet street angel

A Charles Dickens character,
with your top hat and your scarf
When you pull me through the rainbow...
I thought you'd stop
But you didn't...you turned around...
You went back to the children...and your music...
And the people that you love

I can't help but wonder if...
Every once in a while...you remember the girl
When you were a homeless angel...
that drove you wild
Strange and elusive...

CHORUS:
No amount of crying...changes your mind
No amount of praying...brings you inside
I know that you love me...and that you always will
You just stand outside and call to me...
My sweet street angel

So I ended it all...for the both of us
I fell down the stairs...a broken rag doll
But you never knew...you just thought I went away
With nothing more to hope for...
But you don't hear voices anymore
No...my sweet street angel

Dear MSB:

This is very beautiful, who is Nakia?

<<Who is she with whom I share only words, who lives far from my home yet is close to my heart.>>

I found this part very significant, as related to relationships formed out of our communication with others online...

This is a website that you might enjoy, I find it refreshing to visit and if you enjoy love poems, it is a feast for the heart.
