I take it that Wendt is the heir-apparent to Welch. I've heard that GE's succession plans are inadequate because their management depth is somewhat lacking. I will keep my ears open.

The main question I have regarding GE vis-…-vis current global conditions is how much derivatives exposure GE capital has in Asia, if any. I've been hearing early rumblings that there are large, undeclared derivatives implosions on the books of many corps in the finance sector that will dwarf anything seen during the last round of derivative defaults.
