I, too, am so sorry to hear about your wife's passing.

I suspect that your story about the bear outside your screen door is just one of countless shared memories that come to mind as you hear or read other people's spoken or written thoughts.

It is remarkable the way small shared incidents or activities become so much more meaningful, both as we age, and as we view them in hindsight ... especially when they involved a loved one who is no longer with us. Thank you for sharing that touching reminiscence with us.
