It seems the same as for all VSE stocks.
NOTHING is happening, at least on the surface.
I refuse to believe there is no new developments in this or any other stock I hold. It seems that nobody wants to waste good news in this market, preferring instead to accumulate at tax loss prices.

Below the surface, MKD has had two releases which indicate where this company is going.

The first was the letter of intent on a deal with a company in Montreal. No numbers have been released, but the last line of the release says a lot - "all of the budgetary requirements of the next year" or something like that. So it seems they sold the French rights to a company for enough to cover all the operating and promotional costs for 1998. They're fully funded for 98!

The second release was on Friday (of all days). This one is really interesting. They are negotiating a deal to supply (manufacture) Compact Disks. I did a bit of investigating on CD manufacturing and found only one public company, Cinram, in the business. They are a $1.5 billion dollar cap, trading at 30X earnings, with phenomenal growth in the past 5 years.
I haven't been able to determine what the deal is worth, but judging how CD manufacturing created Cinram, it must be very lucrative. This could turn out to be a big one.
I think we should all call Laurence at Markatech and see if he'll provide more info. 1-800-338-7844.

Rodman,

I really wish i knew, our "source" has nothing new to say. Until the company can supply us (investors) with facts that they have a real deal in the works, we will stay on the sidelines. In my opinion, there are a few good stocks still out there that should move sharply in the coming months and MKD is not one of them.

Regards,

John
