I hope Trump pulls ahead of the Republicans. That way, I could vote for Bernie. Jebediah is reasonably sane, but Columba's Mexican family running around the White House would probably kill FUBHO. She was an illegal immigrant, born and raised in Leon, 250 miles outside Mexico City.

In those seminal decades I was a Bobby Kennedy and Gene McCarthy supporter, a McGovern guy, I even liked Independent John Anderson. That was an interesting and tragic political era. Nixon and his organized criminals and later Lee Atwater, truly poisoned the well for the next 35 years still going strong. I couldn't listen to Hubert Humphrey's long-winded hawkish speeches. Now I appreciate what he was trying to communicate and I think he acknowledged his Vietnam mistake.
