The rich don't want to see (or smell) the poor..,.some of them actually still feel guilt despite best their attempts to rationalize and self medicate and keep their eyes wide shut. So their perfect city is a bubble supported by the poor and worked in by the poor, but not inhabited by the poor. Need to have good transportation to get them into work and then out of sight ASAP when their shift ends. Need to have a good system to boot out the homeless and other unwanted that stay too long.
