I doubt it will destroy the economy.

Quite the opposite - low crude prices and the super-strong dollar is doing more damage to U.S. jobs and wealth as well as the environment.

See charts and impacts for CVX and XOM. That's because oil is TOO EASY, not too expensive. Future greenhouse gas energy policy has nothing to do with the current under reported consequences from the CRASH in crude.
