I would withdraw American troops home from all foreign bases yesterday. Nobody defends Abu Ghraib. Conservatives believe it was a one-off crime that was properly prosecuted. Liberals believe it was sanctioned by a President they hated (even though he was the individual who ordered it to be brought to justice).
