Franz, There might well be a synergy with Sun. It is a viable alternative to going down in flames with mad Steve at the helm.
Of course any solution with rational men with no Jobs is also viable.
All the CEOs for the past ten years have been very interested in their pay scale and completely impervious to Apple's decline. In fact it looked like they got bonus points when Apple declined??
IBM would be a doom of the 99th cupboard(which cupboard did we put Apple in?, trot it out, we have dignitaries to impress) Oracle is also doomed, but taking it's time about it. Netscape would not touch Apple with a stick, unless they could buy it with paper(shares, cash free), and use the stick to poke IE4 out of Apples product line.
The best place for Jobs is on the far side of the moon, where all there can give him their undivided attention and we will not hear a squeak from him.
