I think George Orwell did a fine job of debunking it.

No, Orwell debunked Stalinism. He was a lifelong socialist and was sharply critical of capitalism, especially how it exploited workers in Great Britain.

Were he alive, he would be debunking the right wing of the US today.

Extreme Communism and Capitalism are both dead. It is a mixture that makes America work.
