Unfortunately, we know what he said is precisely correct.

Military Times poll is as good as you can get:

“Obama’s popularity — never high to begin with — has crumbled, falling from 35 percent in 2009 to just 15 percent this year [2014], while his disapproval ratings have increased to 55 percent from 40 percent over that time.”

Translation: They hate him.

Why are facts so disturbing to libbers?

Face it....there is very little respect for Obozo in the ranks. Why would there be?

CO, I'll tell you a story that I've told the other regulars on this thread.

I went to the graduation of a friend who was attending West Point back when Bill Clinton was president. He actually gave the speech at the commencement ceremony. Not bad, but it kind of rambled as Bill Clinton was prone to do. (Remember his introduction speech for Michael Dukakis?)

My friend, who was a staunch conservative, wasn't too fond of his Commander-In-Chief, but he showed him due respect as expected of a soldier. He later told me that very few of his fellow graduates held much esteem for the former draft-dodger.

Years later, I saw in his parent's house a picture of my friend in full uniform shaking hands with the president while receiving his diploma. Given that my friend is the son of Korean-American immigrants, I can understand how proud his parents were to see their son shaking hands with the POTUS. But the look on my friend's face was priceless. It was anything but an expression of joy. More like a look of "I'm glad I'm wearing white gloves while shaking the hands of this guy."

That story should illustrate what most people in the military think of Obama. They only respect him because it's their job to. Their personal opinions of Obama are less than flattering.
