I have a similar concern in regards to SFE. I own about 300 shares in my IRA and each year I put in my $2000, but can only invest roughly $1000 in other companies. I keep the remaining $1000 in reserve for rights offerings. It makes it difficult to do a lot of trading. It is even worse since I have been under the water with SFE for the last year.

I think it is worth it and all of my holdings from SFE have done very well.
