Mark, I did my own little 'unscientific' survey yesterday while visiting NYC for the holidays. (Got to see the tree you know, and fight thru the crowds on Fifth Ave!). Anyway, there is a Computer City store on Sixth Ave just across from Bryant Park between 41st and 42nd Streets. We walked into the store Saturday afternoon, it was packed, and CPQ was by far the shelf space leader. Inspection of the checkout line showed one woman buying a CPQ laptop, two more in line buying Presario desktops. Walked back up the street 2 hours later, had to check the cash registers again, and good news, a couple more CPQ boxes lined up with customers checking out. Looked like CPQ was the 'dominant box' each time I was in the store, lets hope that is borne out in the numbers this January....
