But no way is it ever going to be solved.

....there has to be very strong disincentives to hire illegal immigrants coupled with strong border control.
(punitive fines to employers).......no Democrat and perhaps only Cruz would do both.

I don't believe it is unsolvable....

Start fining and imprisoning employers who knowingly hire illegals....

Punish sanctuary cities....and REQUIE local law enforcement to verify immigration status.

Finish the border fences.

Cut deals with foreign countries to make sure repeat offenders serve hard time in their home countries...and condition continued foreign aid on it...

I am sure there is more to be done.....
